This tester used liquid media such as dry ice or alcohol as refrigerant. The specimen is mounted to a cantilever grips and soaked in a low temperature bath for 2.5 minutes (3 minutes for rubber) then strike the specimen with the tip of hammers to see whether it comes to facture or not.
